Fukuda-shuzou
Founded in Hitoyoshi City in 1935, Fukuda Shuzou is relatively new among Kuma shochu distilleries. The founder, Kunihiko Fukuda, moved to Hitoyoshi from Reihoku machi, Amakusa to make shochu. While preserving tradition, the company continues to take on new challenges to improve the quality of their shochu. President Juichi Fukuda, the fifth generation of the company keeps "Thoroughness of Basics" as his motto for shochu making.
